I am a Christian, and i love Jewish people and i'm trying to learn about Judaism. We Christians have a common "greeting" or "farewell" which is: G.d bless you. Do Jewish people have a similar "greeting" or "farewell"?? - We have those kinds of phrases. Like God forbid God willingly Greetings (a guest into a new place/house) Etc |I can't write Hebrew well, but I can write it in English alphabet "Khas veshalom" "Imyertza hashem" "Baruch haba" |"HaShem yishmor" by itself is closer in meaning to "God forbid", even though it's direct translation is "God will protect". If you want to say "May God protect you", it should be "HaShem yishmor otcha (m) / otach (f)", which is indeed used as somewhat of a farewell or perhaps even better as something you'd say to express gratitude. However, it is only used by religious people and I haven't heard it being used incredibly often. You can use it if you wish, though. You could also use "HaShem yevarech otcha (m)/ otach (f)", which means "God bless you". Note: 'ch' represents the letters ח or כ, which make a Mexican 'x' sound or a Spanish 'j' sound.|im not sure if i understood all what isac said but the last one is welcome for male singular - baruh haba - ברוך הבא|oh now i understood t
